Marissa Roth was commissioned, in 2005, by The Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles to photograph the fifty Holocaust survivors who volunteer their time at The Museum of Tolerance. These survivors give of themselves to provide lectures and tours and they are an invaluable link, as living history, to so many who visit The Museum every year.

To commemorate their presence at, and honor their contribution to The Museum, Marissa was invited to make environmental portraits of each survivor in a specific location at The Museum. All of the photographs are included in a permanent exhibition , at The Museum of Tolerance, called "Witness To Truth". Photographed in black and white, the images have been printed on 16 x 20 inch silver gelatin paper and a small selection of them can be viewed here.
